Compete for the Cause™
Compete for the Cause™ Charitable Contributions
Compete for the Cause™ is our commitment to support those who #Compete. We created & launched Compete for the Cause™ in 2014 to support local nonprofits & charities competing to leave their positive mark on the world. Through cause-specific shirts & general donations, Compete for the Cause™ platform has allowed us the opportunity to financially contribute to various charitable organizations, including those listed below. Our goal is that as we continue to grow as an organization, we are able to provide more financial support to those organizations that meet the most critical issues and help our community members Compete for their very best in life.
Priority Areas
Mental Health & Suicide Risk
Every day is a struggle. Competing every day isn't a choice, it's a must. Battles fought within are often the most challenging type. With help and support, a heavy load can be lightened and hope can be fueled.
At-Risk Youth
Sometimes life throws an extra curveball at you & it's easy to lose your way. This is especially true when one is young and has yet to learn the discipline of competing for your life. These kids need a purpose to Compete & our support in their life's journey.
Veterans
So many brave men & women have sacrificed so much for our freedoms and way of life here in the United States. This is our chance to support those in their return home as many continue to fight, often a much more personal battle. Those who have competed so selflessly deserve our community's help in their new competition for their life.
Shirt-Specific Campaigns
- Pink Strong (October 2014): The Compete for the Cause™ program launched September 20, 2014 with the release of our first shirt, Compete for the Cause™: NBCF. The release directly benefited the National Breast Cancer Foundation through the donation of $5 for each "Ribbon Strong" item sold. All purchases were shipped with a black & pink "Ribbon Strong" wristband for personal wear or to give to someone battling breast cancer. Online, fans raised additional funds by posting pictures wearing the Pink Strong shirt & tagging both @CompeteEveryDay & #CompeteForTheCause hashtags. CED donated $1 for every picture posted matching those requirements.
- USA Strong (February 2015): CED launched their first ever "1 for 1" campaign in 2015 by sending one Salute t-shirt or tanktop to active military personnel through the Douglas J. Green Foundation for every one USA Strong shirt or tank sold through CompeteEveryDay.com.
- Adapt. Overcome. Compete. (Aug-Sept 2015): The Adapt. Overcome. Compete. series launched in the summer of 2015, with $5 from every shirt sold directly benefiting Full Catabolic & The Agoge Challenge, a 501(c)3 working with adaptive athletes in a variety of sports.
