Compete Every Day is more than a slogan for me. I fight to be a little bit better each day whether it is as a professional, a mom, a wife or athlete.

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

I am a 47 year old mom of 1, a wife of 18 years and a Veteran. I’m a Human Resources professional and a part time CrossFit and Weightlifting Coach at Stroud CrossFit in Stroudsburg, PA.

2. What’s a typical day look like for you?

I’m in the gym by 6:00 am most days and train 6 days a week for an average of 90 minutes. The focus can be weightlifting, strength training or CrossFit. Then it’s on to my work day.

3. What’s one goal you’re currently training to accomplish?

2016 was about transitioning from CrossFit to weightlifting while training with Coach Mike Mckenna.  I recently competed at the Masters Weightlifting Championshipin Buffalo, NY. That was huge for me!

4. What’s one life goal you’re currently pursuing outside of fitness?

One thing I’ve been working towards is earning my Bachelor Degree in Public Administration. It’s taking more time than I’d hoped but I will finish.

5. What does it mean to you to Compete Every Day?

Compete Every Day is more than a slogan for me. I fight to be a little bit better each day whether it is as a professional, a mom, a wife or athlete.

6. What is one obstacle you’re proud you’ve overcome?

In 1998 , I tore the ligaments and tendons in my right wrist and had to undergo 2 surgeries to regain use of my hand and fingers. I would have never thought I would be a weightlifter at this stage of my life!

7. What/who do you compete for?

I Compete Every Day for me! Training has become MY way of life. I am happier in every aspect of my life because of it. Training clears my mind and allows me to make better decisions.
