Each day is the ability to be better than yesterday!  Compete Every Day is more about living life the way you want it while improving those around you along that path!

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

HI! my name is Duc Dinh and I’m from Austin, Texas!  I’m a personal trainer/coach at Gym One in Austin!

2. What’s a typical day look like for you?

Typical day for me would be a full load of training sessions from 6am to 7pm, with a couple of hours break around 2pm.  I usually fit in a workout when during that time or train later on in the evening.  I like when I’m in the gym alone or with a few of my trainers and staff members training, too.  There’s just a different intensity that I think can scare a lot of people who are not used to seeing or training the way that we do!

Loud music, powerlifting, screaming encouraging “words”, and just the camaraderie!

3. What’s one life goal you’re currently pursuing outside of fitness?

Making time for my love ones!  I try to set up my schedule so that I have the ability to do it! Certain days, I don’t train after 7pm, so I can have dinner with them and there are days where I block off a certain time so I can train them.

4. What does it mean to you to Compete Every Day?

LIFE IS NOT GUARANTEED TO NO ONE!  YOU GET UP AND THAT’S THE STARTING GUN! YOU FINISH WHAT YOU START! Each day is the ability to be better than yesterday!  Compete Every Day is more about living life the way you want it while improving those around you along that path!

5. What is one obstacle you’re proud you’ve overcome?

One obstacle that I’m proud of is showing and giving my friends the confidence in doing what they thought they could or never would do!  And each year, I bring more along the journey so we all can compete every day!  I guess you can say overcoming the mental obstacle of doubt!

6. What/who do you compete for?

I compete for myself to show my team and love ones that it can be done!  Every time that I am out on the starting line, I represent myself, my team, and my family!
