One Day or Day One?

What’s it going to be?

We can talk about your big goal and how badly you want to achieve it. We can be inspired by all of the successful people who have blazed the path you want to take. Or perhaps, we can energized by the idea that no one has done what you desire to do, and you’d be a trailblazer.

We can sit, have a good cup of coffee, and you can tell me about the goals you’ll pursue one day. You’ll share that timing isn’t great now, but one day? Everything will be perfect, and you’ll finally start down the road toward the life you’ve always wanted. You’re not quite sure when it will start, but are adamant and bold in your belief that one day it will. And you’ll know it, when that one day arrives.

Or, we can have a very different conversation.

We can sit, have a good cup of coffee, and you can tell me how you finally stepped out toward that goal you’ve had for years. You’ll share that the timing isn’t great now, but you couldn’t afford to let another day go by without taking action. You tell me that you hope that one day everything will be perfect, but didn’t want to wait for that time and instead started working toward the goal this morning. You will laugh and tell me that you’re not 100% sure how you’ll get there, or everything you need to do, but are excited about today, your day one, and everything that awaits on the road ahead. We’ll leave inspired, because there’s no talk about one day. Today, is that day. Your Day One.
