You don't have to give into your feelings.
As much as they influence us, our feelings don't control us. We still make the choice how we will respond to them.
You don't have to make bad decisions because you feel bad. You don't control how you feel some days but you still control your actions in response to them.
- Just because you're mad doesn't mean you have to curse that person out.
- Just because you're unmotivated doesn't mean you have to hit snooze or skip the gym.
- Just because you're feeling down doesn't mean you have to drink your sorrows away.
Each action we take is a choice. The more we train ourselves to take action toward what we want in the big picture, the less of a slave to our emotions we become.
And the faster to our goals we move.
