A True Competitor

Posted on

Compete Every Day spotlighted 13-year-old Kate Foster and her battle with cancer back in September 2012 (read the original article here). The face of CrossFit for Hope, Kate has courageously battled cancer and amputations in the fight of her life. She continues to stand strong.

CrossFit for Hope recently caught back up with Kate and her family in anticipation of "CrossFit for Cures" on July 6. Exciting to see this young woman's resilience and determination to win back her life. The video shares a moment that her dad will always remember. In the midst of a workout, Kate's prosthetic leg began to slow her down. Without a moment's hesitation, she removed the leg and continued her workout with a "I need to finish this" mindset.

If you need a living example of what it means to compete every day in life, look no further than Kate Foster. Keep up the fight Kate, you're inspiring us and others every single day. One of the coolest moments for our team was seeing Kate working out in her Find Your Limits tanktop. If anyone embodies the words on that garment, it's this young lady.
