Make the Devil Hate Your Hustle

Be the person that when your feet touch the floor in the morning, the devils says, “aww damn…they’re up”The Rock

Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?

Anyway you look in Hollywood, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s signature eyebrow raise and smile is sure to be close by.

The WWE superstar is one of Hollywood’s go-to actors – ranging from family Disney movies to no-holds-barred action flicks. The Rock’s God-given talent affords him opportunities to play a wide range of characters. His work ethic make those roles believable and enjoyable to watch.

It’s that same hustle that has taken him from simply a WWE wrestler into a full-fledge Hollywood superstar.

But it wasn’t always stars and Hollywood boulevard for the The Rock. He was a member of the 1991 Miami Hurricanes national championship football team but injuries plagued his college career and prevented any shot at the NFL. So The Rock followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps and started wrestling.

He started at the bottom of the food chain as Rocky Maivia in the WWF. Over time, he started to develop the character of the man now known simply as “The Rock.” The brash attitude, Hollywood smile, and larger than life personality drew new fans to him in droves. His popularity grew in the late 90s and helped landed a small role in the movie The Mummy Returns. Although he only was on-screen for minutes in the film, it kickstarted his (now) rich Hollywood career.

And The Rock has taken every one of his fans along for the ride.

His community’s support was on full display earlier this year when The Rock was named “Must Follow Actor on Social Media” by Mashable. With 6+ million Facebook fans and 3+ million followers on Twitter, The Rock is committed to sharing his life in a genuine, authentic manner with those who supported his journey to the top.

Like most successful people, everything Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has achieved has been earned through blood, sweat, and tears. His life is in constant motion – always working to improve his skills on and off-screen.

“My work, my goal, my life, it’s like a treadmill. And there’s no stop-button my treadmill. Once I get on, I just keep going.”

Now his focus is on his role in the upcoming film GI Joe: Retaliation, and motivating his community to follow his lead and compete in their own lives. To be that person who the devil hates having to chase down each day.
